Ratiō

It hurt the deepest cavities of my body when I sat there and watched seaweed bob in the shallow water. It makes me smile when he is excited to tell me about his day. My heart jumps when his eyes meet mine from across the room. My diaphragm warms when I fall asleep in the round of his chest and arm. It hurt my feelings when he didn’t call me back. It makes me calm that his embrace feels like the fogged orange in a sunset. My mind rests when I think of the last time he made me laugh. My bones settle when his voice fills the room.
